Insects
My wife decided that we needed an insect hotel....so I have set to it.....always wanted one as they are supposed to be great for the garden and the environment in general....I would encourage anyone to do one....
I knocked a couple of pallets about to make one half the size of a regular-ish pallet.....we have started putting material in for the insects....and heres the current situation....

ReplyDeleteA couple of years ago I had a length of wooden post 6x6 thick, which I cut into 9in lengths. I then drilled holes about half an inch in diameter and 3in long into one end and then hung these blocks up in the summer. Within a few days I had bees using them to lay eggs in, sealing each hole with a piece of leaf.
