But moths are more interesting.....

....more engaging.
Silence of the Lambs, Thomas Harris

And they really can be....a triple whammy of Hawkmoths this morning....how exciting!!....

Elephant Hawkmoth, Deilephila elpanor

Lime Hawkmoth, Mimas tilae

Poplar Hawkmtoth, Laothoe populi

But the new moths for the season continue to turn up....and I am going to check last years list as new species for the garden must be arriving....

Scalloped Hook-tip, Falcaria lacertinaria

Herald, Scollopteryx libatrix

This is the first moth my son got to grips with...though now he calls it Twig Moth....

Buff-tip, Phalera bucephala

Scorched Wing, Plagodis dolabraria

Small Fan-foot, Hermina grisealis

Coronet, Craniophoira ligustri
