A Damsels arrival....

...at last there seems to be some progress on the arrival front for the pond....I was certainly hoping to have seen some Dragonfly/Damselfly action by now....so I was happy to find this Large Red Damselfly sitting by the pond and then a few minutes later on the duckweed.....

...hopefully where theres one another one, at least, will appear....and we can count on some little ones in the next couple of years....

Whilst on the subject I was beginning to think I had missed the emergence of the Hawker larvae but found one in the pond yesterday looking a lot larger than it has done previously so im guessing it wont be too long!
