Rather nice to see the Redwings continue to hang around the holly in the garden at the far end of ours. They occasionally pop in to our garden and rest in trees at the end or in the garden just south. Either way, I have attempted to get them in to the ringing net but have so far failed.
There has been no sign of the male Blackcap that appeared a couple of days ago briefly. It was nice to see and one of my aims this winter here in Pembury was to find a Blackcap....so it was nice that it came and found me....!
Other than this the garden has gone very quiet since the strong winds of the 23rd night. Even though it was colder today, including a frost, there seem fewer birds around and the feeders are currently wasted.
