More pond life....

Heres a squigly wiggler......a dragonfly larvae....in the pond with the almost tadpoles, newts and frogs and an abundance of other stuff....I know they are meat eaters all their lives from larvae to on the wing, and they move pretty fast under water so im fairly sure most of the things in the pond will be safe-ish.....well, everything has to eat...and the pond seems fairly well balanced....

There was a dragonfly in the garden quite a lot when we moved in last autumn, though I didnt i.d. it, so hopefully one will return this summer and will give it a go then.....

Talking of tadpoles....

These guys are indoors, in a jar, for my little boy to watch grow....just like when I was a kid.  Dont worry, we only took out a small amount.  From what I have monitored its may be a day or two ahead of the pond spawn....
